City of Las Vegas
The City of Las Vegas is the government agency that oversees the city that gives the valley its namesake. The city's Web site provides business, governmental and neighborhood information.

Clark County
Clark County, Nevada, is the regional government for Southern Nevada. It oversees five cities and numerous unincorporated areas (including the famous Las Vegas Strip). The county's Web site, which provides information on county agencies and services, is divided into 12 categories -- from "News Flashes" to "Health & Environment" -- that route you to links organized by subject matter.

Las Vegas 51s
The Las Vegas 51s (formerly the Las Vegas Stars) AAA baseball team is a member of the Pacific Coast League and has been playing in Las Vegas since 1983. The team is owned by Mandalay Sports Entertainment and is affiliated with the Los Angeles Dodgers.

Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority
The Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority (LVCVA) is the official destination marketing organization of Las Vegas, and it operates the Las Vegas Convention Center.

Las Vegas Events
Las Vegas Events, Inc. is a private non-profit organization dedicated to attracting special events that promote tourism and increase attention to Las Vegas, fill local hotel rooms and contribute to the local economy and entertainment scene.

Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department
Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department handles the policing for all of Las Vegas and much of Clark County. The department's mission statement says they are dedicated to protecting the residents and ensuring that Las Vegas is the safest tourist destination in the United States.

Las Vegas Review-Journal
The Las Vegas Review-Journal, Nevada's largest newspaper, covers the Las Vegas Valley and the state like no other newspaper can. It has a daily circulation of 160,000 and is a member of the Stephens Media Group. RJ Online is updated daily.

Lunchtime with Ira TV/Radio/Internet Show
"Lunchtime With Ira" is a weekly Television/Radio/Internet show that broadcasts live every Monday from the Las Vegas Hilton, featuring Ira David Sternberg talking with the celebrities, entertainers, writers and personalities who make Las Vegas the most exciting city in the world.

Museums and Attractions in Nevada
MAIN is an organization of Nevada's private and public museums, attractions, tours and tourist services. Their site features links to members who have Web sites and a search engine to find just the museum or attraction you seek.

Nellis Air Force Base
Nellis Air Force base is the "Home of the Fighter Pilot" and houses advanced pilot training and integrates many of the Air Force's test and evaluation requirements with its Air Warfare Center.

Nevada Commission on Tourism
Nevada Commission on Tourism is the state agency dedicated to promoting tourism in the Silver State.

Nevada Development Authority
The Nevada Development Authority is dedicated to developing and diversifying the local economy by helping businesses relocate to the Las Vegas Valley.

SCORE
"Counselors to America's Small Business" is a nonprofit association dedicated to educating entrepreneurs and the formation, growth and success of small business nationwide. SCORE, a resource partner with the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA), provides free business mentoring and low cost workshops. The Southern Nevada chapter has over 30 experienced mentors and offices in downtown Las Vegas, the UNLV campus, Henderson, Mesquite and Pahrump.

UNLV
University of Nevada, Las Vegas is fully accredited by the Northwest Association of Schools and Colleges. UNLV's 12 colleges - Business, Education, Engineering, Extended Studies, Fine Arts, Health Sciences, Hotel Administration, Liberal Arts, Sciences, Urban Affairs, Graduate College and Honors Colleges - offer more than 148 baccalaureate, master's and doctoral programs.
